Emmerdale‘s Marlon Dingle finally confesses his guilt to his daughter April Windsor next week.
Marlon takes the honest approach after seeing how his deception has pushed April to breaking point.
The troubled teenager sparked more concern for her wellbeing this week, as she became isolated from her friends during a gathering at Arthur Thomas’s house.
April ended up bonding with Kai, a boy at the party. She was embarrassed when Marlon and Rhona arrived to collect her and spotted her coming back downstairs with Kai.

April admits that she’s simply missing her friend Dylan, who supported her when she was sleeping rough in Leeds.
Marlon feels terrible as April expresses her fears that Dylan doesn’t care about her any more, as he has seemingly cut all contact since checking into rehab.
Bracing himself for a backlash, Marlon confesses that he tried to get Dylan out of the way by framing him for stealing ketamine from the vets surgery.

He explains: “Dylan does care. He’s been protecting me because he cares about you a lot.
“Okay, I’m going to tell you something now and I want you to know that I only did it because I love you. Dylan didn’t steal the ketamine – I did.”
Subsequently, Marlon also reveals the letter from Dylan that he’d deliberately concealed.
How will April feel about Marlon controlling her life like this? Could it make their already-fractured relationship even worse?
It’s a big week for the ongoing storyline, with April making a drastic decision and Marlon continuing his desperate efforts to monitor his daughter’s movements, so this is just the beginning of the drama to come…
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, March 31 on ITV1 and ITVX.
