**Big Shock Y&R Spoilers: Faith is Angry When She Sees Nick Hugging Phyllis – Summer Defends Her

Parents**

In Genoa City, where love and loyalty often clash, a new drama unfolds within the Newman family.

Summer Newman has always supported her parents, Nick Newman and Phyllis Summers, and recently,

she’s been intrigued by their growing closeness, hoping for a rekindling of their romance. However, Faith Newman, who has just returned to Genoa City after some time away, dreams of her own family’s reunion. She longs for her parents, Nick and Sharon, to get back together, and seeing Nick and Phyllis together stirs feelings of jealousy and anger.

The stage is set for a clash between the sisters, each fighting for what they believe will bring true happiness to their family. Summer watches her parents interact with hopeful optimism, believing that despite their tumultuous past, Nick and Phyllis belong together. She admires their undeniable chemistry and recent moments of shared laughter and meaningful glances, convinced that Phyllis can provide the happiness her father deserves. Yet, Summer is aware of the delicate situation with Faith’s return.

Faith arrives in Genoa City with a clear intention: to see her parents, Nick and Sharon, reunited. She expresses her hopes to Summer, unaware of her sister’s conflicting desires. Summer understands the sensitive nature of the situation and decides to approach it cautiously.

One evening, as the sun sets over Genoa City, Summer and Faith find themselves alone on the porch, the air thick with unspoken tension. Summer decides it’s time to address the elephant in the room. “Faith,” Summer begins gently, “I know you want mom and dad to get back together. I understand why. But I think we need to consider what’s best for Dad’s happiness too.”

Faith’s eyes narrow defensively. “Summer, Dad and Mom were perfect together. They belong together. Phyllis is just going to hurt him again, like she always does.”

Summer sighs, trying to find the right words. “I know Phyllis has made mistakes, but people change. I’ve seen how happy Dad looks when he’s with her. I just think we should give them a chance.”

Faith’s frustration bubbles over. “You don’t get it, Summer. Mom and Dad have a history, a real family history. I can’t just stand by and watch Dad make the same mistake again.”

The conversation escalates into a heated argument, each sister defending their perspective with fervor. Summer’s calm demeanor gives way to exasperation, while Faith’s anger turns into tears. It becomes clear that neither is willing to back down.

Meanwhile, Nick Newman finds himself caught in an emotional crossfire he never anticipated. He’s always been a man of strong principles, striving to do right by his family. But now, his heart is torn between two daughters he loves dearly, each pulling him in a different direction. Nick has spent years trying to find happiness in his relationships, but luck has often eluded him. Despite his best efforts, his love life has been marred by heartbreak and misunderstandings.

One evening, as the tension in the Newman household reaches a boiling point, Nick decides it’s time to address the issue head-on. He gathers his daughters in the living room, the gravity of the situation reflected in his eyes. “Girls,” Nick begins, his voice steady but tinged with emotion, “I know you both want what’s best for me, and I love you both more than anything in this world. But this situation is tearing us apart.”

Faith and Summer exchange glances, their expressions a mix of guilt and defiance. Nick continues, “I’ve made my fair share of mistakes in love, but I’ve always tried to do what’s right for this family. Choosing between you two is not something I can do. You’re both my daughters, and I need you to understand that my happiness is important too.”

Faith’s eyes fill with tears. “Dad, I just want our family to be whole again. I want Mom and you to be together like before.”

Nick nods, understanding her pain. “I know, Faith, but sometimes things don’t work out the way we hope, and that’s okay. We have to find new ways to be happy.”

Summer, feeling a pang of sympathy for her sister, speaks up. “Dad, we both just want you to be happy. Maybe it’s not about choosing one over the other, but finding a way to support each other.”

Nick smiles, proud of his daughters for their willingness to try and understand. “That’s all I ask for. I love you both so much, and I need you to trust me to make the right decisions for my own happiness.”
