AN EASTENDERS couple split up after an affair is exposed, leaving a fan favourite devastated.

In tonight’s episode, fans will see the fall out from Kathy and Harvey’s affair behind Jean’s back – and Cindy is in the middle of it.

In scenes airing tonight on EastEnders, a heartbroken Jean finds out about her man’s infidelity.

At the beginning of the episode, Cindy – who secretly recorded Kathy and Harvey kissing – exposes the affair to her in front the whole pub.

The fall out from the recording then plays out, as Jean comes to terms with the affair.

Although at first she says she can forgive him, Harvey decides to leave, saying he is “in love with Kathy”.

A devastated Jean then kicks him out and he go to his mistress.

In heartbreaking scenes, Jean is seen watching out of the window as Kathy lets Harvey it her home, and her life.

BLACKMAIL PLOT

All this week, Cindy has been blackmailing Kathy, after she made her return to Albert Square.

She has a hold over Kathy, after her former mother-in-law attacked her on Christmas Day.

Cindy demanded the deeds to Beale’s Eels, the chip shop and the house in exchange for her silence.

But with Ian and Kathy reluctant to give into her demands – Cindy needed something else up her sleeve – which fell into her lap.

Tuesday’s episode of the BBC soap saw Cindy notice Harvey and Kathy having a chat during her evening stroll in the Square.

Harvey confessed to his lover that he couldn’t bring himself to tell a fragile Jean about their affair, and has accepted Jean’s proposal.

Although devastated, Kathy agreed that the Slater family are hanging by a thread after the death of Martin Fowler and they Harvey’s support.

The pair shared a passionate kiss – unware that Cindy was watching and recording the whole thing.
