With its immense popularity, series co-creator Taylor Sheridan was given the freedom to create multiple “Yellowstone”
prequel series for Paramount+. 
The first prequel, “1883,” arrived in 2021 and quickly became a fan favorite. However, fans have been left wondering about the future of “1883.” Despite the anticipation, the answer is no. Paramount+ initially announced new episodes in February 2022 but walked back that statement less than a month later.
