GOODBYE COBBLES, HELLO BIG SCREEN! Coronation Street ‘Aadi’ Star Reveals Fresh Chapter

Missing Aadi already? Coronation Street fans are now wondering what comes next for Adam Hussain after his exit, and the actor hasn’t wasted any time stepping into something new. His latest move might surprise viewers who’ve followed his Weatherfield journey closely.

A Farewell To Weatherfield

Adam Hussain recently wrapped up his role as Aadi Alahan after five years on Coronation Street. The actor confirmed his departure in April, with his final scenes airing this month as Aadi headed for India. The exit marked the end of an important chapter for Hussain, who joined the ITV soap in 2020 and quickly became a familiar face to fans. After his last appearance, Hussain posted on Instagram to reflect on his journey.

Aadi said his five years on Corrie had been deeply educational, and that he not only gained lifelong friends but also grew as a person. Although his farewell looked final, Hussain left the door open for a return. He suggested it was not necessarily a permanent goodbye, reassuring fans that since Aadi wasn’t killed off, there could always be a way back to Weatherfield. He even mentioned how comforting it was to know he could revisit the character if the time ever felt right.

A New Creative Venture After Coronation Street

Now, Hussain has turned his attention to a brand-new project outside the cobbles. He appears in a short film titled Spice For Life, which is currently available to watch for free on YouTube. The production also stars Hollyoaks actor Kirsty-Leigh Porter and runs for 12 minutes. The film, directed by Saleem Miah, focuses on the relationship between a British-Asian teenager and his foster parent.

The filmmaker shared with ITV that his own upbringing heavily inspired the project. He revealed that he grew up in foster care, moving frequently, and often found himself placed with white families. While fictional, many moments in the script come from his own experiences. Miah explained that he always wanted to create something based on his unique background.

Hussain’s fans now have the chance to see him in a very different light after Coronation Street. While the future remains open, Hussain’s words suggest he hasn’t shut the Weatherfield door completely.
