Big news came today from General Hospital star Sofia Mattsson. Not only is the beloved star marking

her birthday but she got to celebrate it with someone very special…her one-month-old daughter!

General Hospital: And A Baby Makes FourThis is the first time the Sasha Gilmore actress has revealed her little girl to the world and oh, what a sweet baby she is! “Couldn’t ask for a better birthday than spending it with my girl who’s a little over one month today! Born 5-21-23.” Mattsson wrote on her Instagram. She concluded the post by thanking her fans for all the birthday wishes.

Mattsson announced the pregnancy just a couple of months ago and included a stunning photo of herself in the late stages of her pregnancy. The baby wasn’t written into her storyline as her character is a widow and she currently has no love interest. The show did an excellent job of concealing her impending motherhood with loose blouses and jackets as she navigated around Port Charles.

Cast members were quick to add their congratulations alongside her birthday posts. Laura Wright (Carly) penned, “Ohhhhh so beautiful!!!! Happy Birthday 🎂🎊🎁” Castmate Tanisha Harper (Jordan) added, “This is just too sweet. 2 beauties. Happy birthday darlin!”

The Official General Hospital Fan Club sent their well wishes, “Congratulations & Happy Birthday!” and The Young and the Restless’s Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson, Y&R) joined in, “Happy Birthday and congrats. 🍾 🥹🖤”

The baby girl is Sofia’s second child. She shares a son, born on July 26. 2021, with husband, Thomas Payton. Mattsson and Payton have kept the names of their tots under wraps, for now.
