General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s (ex-Spencer Cassadine) star power has grown even brighter since he made his on-screen exit from GH back in

January.

Now Chavez is making a huge splash in Netflix’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story – and he’s got an exciting role in FX’s Grotesquerie as well.

Ryan Murphy is clearly taking advantage of Chavez’s talents in his productions, but that hasn’t stopped many fans from missing the up-and-coming actor on the soap he left behind.

In a new interview with TV Line, Nicholas Alexander Chavez was asked about his former role as Spencer Cassadine and whether that door was closed.

You might be surprised by Chavez’s answer!

“No,” Chavez said. “Port Charles is a crazy place. We’ll have to see what happens.”

That said, it doesn’t seem like Chavez is headed back to GH anytime soon with his popularity on the rise.

Chavez is poised to stay booked and busy now that his career is really taking off.

With that in mind, there may come a point when a Spencer recast is needed.

If that’s the case, would Chavez be OK with passing the Cassadine baton to a fresh face?

“Of course,” Chavez insisted, “I understand that the show has needs and I would be fully supportive of that.”

Bottom line, Chavez might be open to returning to GH somewhere down the line – or at least he doesn’t want to rule it out!

However, it’s tough to believe that’ll happen quickly if it happens at all.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez is shining in other roles outside the soap world, so he may continue exploring new projects for quite some time.
