EastEnders icon Michelle Ryan has sparked a frenzy among fans after reuniting with Jessie Wallace ahead of her return to Walford.
In June, actress Michelle returned to the BBC soap as Zoe Slater after being away from the soap for 20 years. During Zoe’s comeback, she was revealed to be living in an unknown location with Stacey Slater (Lacey Slater) before reuniting with her step-father Alfie Moon (played by Shane Richie).
She also lied about needing money to pay off some gangsters who were threatening to kill her. Zoe also refused to reunite with her mum Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and hinted that she had done something ‘unforgivable’.

After a narrow escape involving her mum Kat, Zoe took off for Barcelona, harbouring a hefty secret that she feared would make everyone “hate her” if it came to light.
Currently, Alfie is in Barcelona attempting to persuade Zoe to return to Albert Square as she is yet to reunite with her mum.
Zoe is best remembered for the 2001 cliffhanger in which she screamed at her sister Kat: “You ain’t my mother!” who fired back with the iconic twist: “Yes I am.”

Ahead of their forthcoming on-screen reunion, Michelle, 41, and Jessie, 53, have been photographed together enjoying an evening out away from the BBC soap set.
In the selfie, the two soap stars look stunning as they smile for the camera.

EastEnders fans wasted no time in sharing their excitement at Jessie and Michelle’s reunion. In the comments, one person wrote: “A photo most of us never thought we’d ever see again.”

A second gushed: “Cannot possibly wait for this mother and daughter reunion. Love both actresses so much. It’s really exciting for everyone! Michelle you’re an absolute legend as is Jessie! Both ladies playing these amazing characters do us and themselves proud. Thank you kindly for sharing beautiful soul xxxx.”
A third chimed in: “Ahh such lovely photos of you and Jessie can’t wait to see the scenes with you and her”, while another echoed the sentiment and wrote: “Love this can’t wait for this reunion.”
