Peacock’s streaming soap opera, Days of our Lives has been picked up for its upcoming 61st season. The latest renewal
keeps one of the most iconic and trailblazing drama series continuing on through the 2025-2026 TV and streaming
season, and that means viewers will see the lives, loves and perils of the citizens of Salem and its core family for yet
another year.
Since September of 2023, Peacock became the exclusive home of Days of our Lives after a 57-year run on NBC. According to a press release, “The series has consistently been a top 10 title since its exclusive move to to the streamer and coming up on December 2nd, DAYS will reach its 15,000th episode. vThe renewal comes ahead of tomorrow’s annual Day of Days fan fest in Los Angeles where the series upcoming 60th season will be celebrated.
Through the years, Days of our Lives has garnered 62 Daytime Emmy Awards and 392 nominations including earlier this year when TV icon, Dick Van Dyke picked up an Emmy for his role on DAYS as Timothy Robicheaux. Throughout the years, the soap operas has received multiple People’s Choice Awards, GLAAD Media Awards and Prism Awards. The show remains a perennial favorite among viewers of all ages.
For those attending the Saturday November 2nd, free event in LA, Day of Days 2024 has some exciting surprises lined up in honor of the milestone season, while offering fans the opportunity to not only meet their favorite cast members in person but also participate in autograph signings, pose in photo ops featuring backdrops from the series and much more throughout the day. For the first time ever, in conjunction with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, the event will have celebratory merchandise for sale on site.
