Michelle Ryan has praised a new EastEnders trailer teasing her character Zoe Slater’s huge return.
After 20 years away from Walford, Ryan reprised her role as Zoe for a brief appearance back in June. Though Zoe caught up with Stacey Slater and Alfie Moon, she quickly fled to Spain after admitting she was in serious trouble.

Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting Zoe’s proper return to Walford and, more importantly, her reunion with her estranged mother Kat Moon.
On Friday (15 August), the soap released an explosive trailer teasing the upcoming scenes. But it’s not just viewers who are pleased to welcome Zoe home.
Recently taking to Instagram, Ryan shared a behind-the-scenes image of the trailer being filmed on the Bridge Street Market set. While the crew and equipment take up most of the shot, Jessie Wallace (who plays Kat) can be seen filming in the background.

“The trailer for Zoe’s return dropped last night on BBC1. Very excited now…” Ryan wrote in the caption.
“I rarely want to watch anything I am in but I really do look forward to seeing the first episodes. They were a big draw for me with retuning, the quality of the scripts.”
The star also thanked the costume and make-up team.
Zoe’s shocking return comes after a string of big life changes for Kat. In recent months, the fan-favourite character has started a new limo business, married Alfie (again), and become the landlady of The Queen Vic (again).
With things finally looking up for her family, how will Kat deal with Zoe’s sure to be disastrous arrival?
