General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show recently brought a brand-new version of Emma Drake to the canvas. Braedyn Bruner has taken over the part from Brooklyn Rae Silzer, so she’s the latest recast to hit Port Charles.

GH has proven that they’re not afraid to bring on new actors when the story calls for it.

Aiden Webber (Colin Cassidy), Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) are all fairly recent recasts as well.

With that in mind, perhaps we should start thinking about what the future holds for Emma’s parents.

Will Robin Scorpio-Drake (last played by Kimberly McCullough) and Patrick Drake (last played by Jason Thompson) be recast, too?

Although McCullough is a beloved performer who’s been part of GH for decades, she’s more focused on directing these days.

As for Thompson, he’s busy playing Billy Abbott over on The Young and the Restless.

It’s reasonable to think there could come a point when GH might recast Robin, Patrick or both.

Although change can be hard, recasts are an accepted and sometimes necessary part of soaps.

Our predictions point to Emma being Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) new love interest, so she’s set to stick around for some great Port Charles drama.

Emma will have Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and other loved ones she can lean on around town, but that may not be enough.

Anyone who stays in Port Charles for any lengthy period of time is usually going to end up hospitalized.

What happens if Emma lands in some danger down the road and ultimately gets hurt?

It would be weird for Robin and Patrick to just ignore any trouble that Emma might land in.

If Emma ever has a storyline where she gets seriously injured or ill in PC, Patrick and Robin might have to make the trip back from California.

In that case, it’s certainly possible that Robin and Patrick could be recast. That’s especially true if the show ever decides Patrick and Robin need to stick around like Emma!
