General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Steve Burton’s new year is off to a wonderful start, he’s just announced his engagement to girlfriend Michelle Lundstrom.
Burton posted the sweet news on his Insta account, with a pic of him down on one knee, presenting a little box to his future wife.
The caption reads “Engaged 1/3/25. ❤️♾️.” Fans will recognize the uplifting tune playing, it’s the Glory of Love by Peter Cetera.

Burton also included this post: “Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Steve’s fans are over the moon that he has found happiness again following a divorce from his first wife Sheree Gustin. Steve and Sheree have three kids together and she shocked social media when she posted a pic of her pregnant stomach, a pic that Steve had to later clarify after receiving well wishes on a fourth child.
Steve explained gracefully that the child was not his and he is now divorced from Sheree.
General Hospital spoilers: Steve Burton and Michelle Lundstrom Are Engaged
Steve and Michelle made their relationship Instagram official in June when they attended the Daytime Emmy Awards together.
At that time, Michelle posted a photo from the event and wrote on Instagram, “Beautiful night with the most amazing people. Feeling super grateful❤️”
In a second post she noted that the night represented “Our first red carpet together. It was a dream of a night from beginning to end. Thank you for all the beautiful kind comments & messages. I’m truly grateful ❤️.”
GH spoilers: Steve Burton Plays Jason Morgan
Later that month the 43-year-old brunette posted a video to celebrate Steve’s 54th birthday: “Happiest birthday my love @1steveburton It’s a better place with you in this world. Anyone that has you in their life in any capacity is truly blessed. I think I’ll forever be in awe of what an incredible man and human you are. Thank you for wearing the largest fanny pack in Disney & sharing your beautiful life alongside mine. Wishing you a million more special memories & smiles, you deserve it all! ❤️ #blessedbirthday #love”
In July Michelle posted a carousel of images with the message “July, you were one of the best.”
General Hospital spoilers: Steve Burton Set to be Married
Steve and Sheree were married for more than 20 years and finalized their divorce in December. In May of 2022, Steve announced their separation on his Instagram Story.
He wrote, “I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated.” At that time they agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their son Jack, 18 and daughter Brooklyn, 10. They have an adult daughter, Makena.
Steve added that Sheree “recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”
Sheree’s daughter Izabella was born in February 2023, and her fifth child arrived in February 2024.
