Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) office, but she hoped to prove Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) wrong. Carly

didn’t want to believe Brennan was lying and covering up Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart)

whereabouts, but he was indeed deceiving her.

Of course, now Carly has resorted to some deception of her own.

Carly’s decision to plant that listening device will quickly come back to bite her since the WSB does sweeps of their offices quite often.

During the week of December 9-13, Brennan will launch a confrontation with Carly.

It sounds like the bug will be discovered, so it won’t take long for a smart guy like Brennan to figure out Carly is responsible.

Brennan may recall Carly asking him for a glass of water, which led to his back being turned for just a moment.

That gave Carly a chance to plant the bug – and soon after, Carly, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) all listened to Brennan call Valentin.

It’s clear that all that talk about not being able to get in touch with Valentin was a lie.

Brennan could’ve called Valentin a long time ago, so Carly’s sure to be angry that he played dumb instead.

However, Carly is bound to get an earful when it comes to this planted bug as well.

Brennan won’t appreciate Carly’s sneaky move, especially after everything he’s done for her in recent months.

Carly and Brennan obviously like to flirt, so many GH fans have been patiently waiting for them to get together as an actual couple.

Unfortunately, viewers may be waiting even longer thanks to this double betrayal news and all the erupting tension.

It’ll really highlight the fact that Brennan and Carly can’t trust each other.

It’s hard to build a relationship without that, so Carly and Brennan seemingly have a major romantic setback coming up.

Will Brennan and Carly still be able to figure out a future together? Should GH give Carly and Brennan a real chance at romance?
