EastEnders enthusiasts are pleading with the show’s bosses to make Drew Peacock a regular character following his return to Walford on Wednesday evening (June 11).
In November 2024, Drew (played by Paul Clayton) made his first appearance in the Square when he was booked to entertain at The Queen Vic for Elaine Peacock’s (Harriet Thorpe) hen party.

However, the glamorous event took an unexpected twist when Elaine recognised the drag act and insisted he leave the pub. This led to Elaine revealing to Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) that Drew was the mystery man her father had an affair with years ago.
After hashing out their history, Elaine and Drew managed to reconcile and move forward, with the pair now seeming to be friends.
This week, Elaine was livid with George Knight (Colin Salmon) for assisting his vindictive ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), at rival venue The Albert during its reopening, reports聽Belfast Live.
As they began to repair their relationship, Elaine gave George a thoughtful gift commemorating his boxing career, but the moment was quickly spoiled when Junior (Micah Balfour) arrived at the pub.
Junior soon reveals that George visited his mother, Sabrina, on聽Christmas聽night leaving Elaine shocked.
It didn’t take long for George to confess that Sabrina made a pass at him, but he insists he rejected her advances.

Elaine was once again devastated by George’s dishonesty and sent him packing from the Vic. He left to find his son but got sidetracked by Cindy, who predictably offers a sympathetic ear.
Later, they shared a moment on The Albert’s balcony, all under Elaine’s watchful eye before she slipped away to the cafe虂.
Upon her return, Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison) dropped the bombshell that George and Cindy had left together, looking rather cosy.
This led Elaine to invite an unknown guest to join her at the bar, but as she waited, a chap named Stephen tried his luck with her.

However, Drew Peacock made quite the entrance and swiftly sent Stephen packing.
Drew gave Elaine some sage advice about not settling for second best in her marriage and suggested that parting ways with George might be for the best.
He remarked: “You gave it your best shot, but if George is doing the horizontal hokey-cokey with his ex, then that’s where he wants to be, it’s not your fault.”
Elaine seemed moved by Drew’s words and decided to give Stephen another chance, eventually leaving his place.
EastEnders聽enthusiasts are now clamouring for Drew to become a staple on the show, with one fan posting on X: “Drew should run the Queen Vic #EastEnders.”
Another fan pleaded: “I want Drew to stay, I like him #EastEnders.”
A third added: “Please make Drew Peacock a permanent character! He needs to work in the Albert full time!”
“Please, please, please can we keep Drew Peacock? #EastEnders,” another viewer hoped.
“Really hoping Drew becomes a recurring character and not just so Elaine has someone to be friends. #EastEnders,” another insisted.
