General Hospital Exclusive: Evan Hofer Reveals
the One Thing That He *Won’t*
Miss About the Soap
General Hospital would be hard-pressed to find a bigger cheerleader than the one that it had in Evan Hofer, who was killed off as Dex (on Friday the 13th, no less!). But as much as the actor loved doing the soap, whether striking supercouple gold with Eden McCoy (Josslyn) or serving as an on-screen punching bag for off-screen mentor Maurice Benard (Sonny), there is one thing that he won’t miss about the show.
Suffice it to say, it’s an Earl Grey matter. “The tea selection was a little weak,” he admits to Soaps.com, “but I brought my own.”
Smart move — one that no doubt Englishwomen Finola Hughes (Anna) and Emma Samms (Holly) thought to make as well. Now and then, “Finola and I would compare teas,” Hofer says, “and when Emma was there, I told her, “Please, if you ever need any teas, I’ve got you.’
The veteran cast member so appreciated Hofer’s thoughtful gesture that she couldn’t help but acknowledge it before making Holly’s latest exit from Port Charles. “She left me a lovely gift of tea before she left.”
More: A very personal update from Laura Wright (Carly)
Since Hofer is open to doing another daytime drama under the right circumstances — read all about that here — consider some of the new roles that could be available to him in the below photo gallery. It even includes a way for him to return to General Hospital.
