Steph MiliganĀ (Georgia Jay) has been crumbling since the revelations about her grandfather being her birth father came to light inĀ Emmerdale, and now sheās seeking some drastic measures to eliminate Anthony (Nicholas Day) from her life for good. And it involves a sharp knife.
She has been struggling with looking in the mirror sinceĀ learning that she was the result of Anthony raping her mother, and now all she sees is the face of her motherās abuser looking back at her.
DespiteĀ support from Ross (Mike Parr)Ā andĀ AaronĀ (Danny Miller), Steph has not been able to shake her ill feeling, and whenĀ JaiĀ (Chris Bisson) pulled a cruel prank on her by pretending Anthony is still alive, Steph fully lost it and tried to dig up his grave.

Still in utter turmoil, she is now entering the next phase in her trauma as sheĀ meets with a surgeon to discuss having her face reconstructedĀ to rid herself of Anthony for once and for all.
CalebĀ (Will Ash) andĀ RubyĀ (Beth Cordingly) have no idea what Steph is planning and donāt realise her new good mood is down to making this monumental and life changing decision. To cover her tracks, she tells her parents sheās off on holiday, which catches them off guard.
Given how sheās been lately, Caleb is not convinced by this sudden need for fun in the sun.
The next day, Caleb tries to track down the information for Stephās flight number, but alarm bells ring when he canāt find anything.

Hoping to find more he goes on her own laptop but is startled to discover her true plans through emails to the plastic surgery clinic.
Just as the surgeon finishes his final prep for Steph, Caleb and Ruby arrive in the nick of time. But with Steph a grown woman, they canāt stop her from going under the knife.
Caleb has no choice but to pull a real dad move to stop her from doing something stupid, but in turn Steph loses it again and once home, smashes up the kitchen in a blind rage.
Ross approaches her and tries to soothe the situation, but his words only serve to fuel Stephās fire. She snaps and begins berating him with a torrent of abuse.
He takes it, but when sheās finished, Steph is left feeling more self-hatred than ever.
