Brothers Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) have had a rocky relationship over the years in Emmerdale, and a new
spoiler video reveals that the pair are set to have another falling out.
When they bump into each other on Main Street, Caleb is quick to ask how Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) is doing after being diagnosed with a brain tumour last year.
As Cain reveals that she is preparing for more treatment, Caleb suggests paying her a visit with wife Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) – something that Cain immediately puts a stop to.
Viewers will know that Cain and Ruby are currently hiding a secret, having slept together while Moira underwent surgery, and have been trying to keep their distance from each other as much as possible.
Caleb is understanding when Cain makes out that Moira isn’t up for visitors, and the topic of conversation soon turns to Anthony Fox’s (Nicholas Day) health.
Anthony revealed his terminal cancer diagnosis not long after arriving in the Emmerdale village, and has since manipulated his way into living with Caleb and Ruby.
With Anthony having coaxed the secret of their infidelity out of Ruby and confronted Cain, it is safe to say that there is not a lot of love lost between the men.
However, when Cain questions Caleb’s sudden fondness, he is immediately defensive, pointing out that Anthony is his father-in-law.
Incredulous, he argues that he thought Cain would understand wanting to repair relationships with a dying relative, after what he went through with Faith Dingle.
Viewers have already seen Anthony use the secret of Cain and Ruby’s infidelity to manipulate his daughter – could he be set to use it to drive a wedge between Cain and Caleb?
It is clear that Cain doesn’t trust Anthony, and we know that the newcomer is hiding a sinister secret, having sexually abused Ruby as a child.
With Ruby having confided in Chas that she was assaulted growing up, could Cain begin to piece things together and get to the truth?
