EastEnders star Joe Swash has addressed his future on the BBC soap.
The actor made a surprise return as Mickey Miller in last week’s episodes, 13 years after he last set foot in Albert Square.
Although it was just a guest appearance, Joe has said he would “think about” returning again if soap bosses wanted him to.
“If they wanted me to go back in, that would be something I’d think about,” he shared during a new interview with OK! Magazine.
“But I’ve got a big family, so it would have to suit me and all of us, ultimately. Soaps are quite full-on and I have quite a young family at the moment.”
The actor shares son Rex and daughters Rose and Belle with his wife Stacey Solomon. Their family also includes Stacey’s sons Leighton and Zach from previous relationships, and Joe’s son Harry from a previous one.
Elsewhere in the interview, Joe expressed how much he “enjoyed” his time on EastEnders, and how he’s looking forward to celebrating its upcoming 40th anniversary.
“I really enjoyed my time there. The people who worked there, the directors and the writers and the bosses were all just such amazing people. I loved it there, I really did,” he said.
“So yeah, I’ll be celebrating the anniversary with everyone else. As much as I was in it, I’m a fan of the show as well. Forty years – they’ve done so well… it’s a real milestone.”
