EastEnders has revealed an alarming secret about Teddy Mitchell, in the show’s latest episode.

This week, Nicola ordered an attack on Zack, who was determined to tell Barney that he was his biological father. After Sharon and Nicola later had a fight in Harry’s Barn, Zack came clean to his sister about his bombshell.

Meanwhile, Sharon decided to break up with Teddy, feeling guilty about sleeping with Grant. But she was interrupted by Barney, who told Teddy about his partner’s betrayal.

In today’s episode, Teddy was devastated to learn that Sharon had cheated on him, as she claimed that it was a mistake and she was vulnerable after Martin’s death.

Nicola panicked when she arrived home and Teddy asked why she didn’t tell him – but she quickly realised that he was talking about Sharon, with her and Zack’s secret safe for now.

Teddy was furious with Sharon and as a dramatic row escalated, he turned violent and smashed a glass. When Zack intervened, Teddy began brutally attacking him – only stopping when a terrified Barney walked in.

Zack became more convinced he should tell Barney the truth, arguing he wasn’t safe with Teddy, but Sharon was more concerned about keeping her brother alive.

Nicola tried to support Teddy, but he wasn’t pleased that his ex-wife had kept Sharon’s betrayal from him so asked her to leave. Teddy then tried to make amends with Barney, apologising for scaring him earlier.

When Nicola called round to see Zack, she discovered that Sharon knows their big secret. Zack declared that he was going to tell Barney the truth then would go to the police about Teddy.

But Nicola stopped him, explaining to Zack and Sharon that the real Teddy was dangerous and ruthless, and claiming that he killed Harry’s ex-girlfriend Shireen.

“Teddy Mitchell is a killer,” she said. “And if you take his son away, he will kill you and me. And he won’t lose a wink of sleep over it.”
