Dutton Ranch: Inside Beth and Rip’s Wild, Dangerous New Yellowstone Spinoff

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are reprising their ‘Yellowstone’ characters for the new show

Yellowstone concluded its five-season run in December 2024, but the characters first introduced in the Western drama live on. Beth and Rip’s love story had a bittersweet ending in the Yellowstone series finale, and chaos finds them again as they embark on a new adventure in the upcoming spinoff, Dutton Ranch.

When asked about Dutton Ranch at the March 2026 premiere of Marshals — which stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton —Yellowstone producer David Glasser said the series is “a way to explore the characters, but also mature the characters.”

“I think that’s the nice thing. We all want to be with them on the ride, but we also want to see them grow,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “These shows always, for us, are a lot of dead bodies, a lot of people getting shot, a lot of crazy stuff happening, and just when you think we can’t turn it up a notch, we do.”

The first trailer for the new show debuted in March 2026, giving fans a glimpse of Beth and Rip as they begin their new lives in Texas.

Here’s everything to know about the latest Yellowstone spinoff, Dutton Ranch.

What is Dutton Ranch about?

Yellowstone: Beth and Rip Spinoff Series Going Forward

Yellowstone ended with Beth and Rip settling down on their new property, a “7,000-acre Dutton Ranch” outside of Dillon, Mont. — but the peaceful quiet seems to only last for so long.

“With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be,” the series’ original logline read, referring to the teen Beth and Rip are guardians of.

That said, Beth and Rip don’t appear to actually settle down in their home state. Instead, the pair find their way to South Texas.

According to an updated logline, Dutton Ranch follows Beth and Rip as they “fight to build a future together” and “collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.”

“In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul,” it continues.

Who is in the Dutton Ranch cast?

Reilly and Hauser star in the Dutton Ranch, reprising their roles from Yellowstone. Finn Little is also back as Carter, who was first introduced in season 4.

The spinoff is expected to include appearances from other Yellowstone cast members, per Deadline.

As for newcomers, Annette Bening has joined the series as Beulah Jackson, a “powerful, cunning and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.”

Other members of the Dutton House cast include Ed Harris, Jai Courtney, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, Juan Pablo Raba and JR Villarreal, according to Variety.

Is there a trailer for Dutton Ranch?

Paramount+ dropped the first trailer for Dutton Ranch on March 23, though it only included about a minute of new footage from the spinoff.

As Eminem’s song “Till I Collapse” plays, Beth and Rip share a drink next to a fire and flashes of action-packed scenes unfold.

The teaser also shows the first look at Bening and Harris’ new characters.

When the clip concludes, Beth and Rip are seen walking away together while a building burns behind them.

When does Dutton Ranch premiere?

Dutton Ranch will premiere on May 15, 2026, starting with the first two episodes. Season 1 will have a total of nine episodes.

Notably, the show was created by Chad Feehan, who also serves as an executive producer and showrunner. Taylor Sheridan is an executive producer as well.

Feehan previously created Lawmen: Bass Reeves, on which Sheridan was an executive producer.
