Drew Learns Curtis Has Taken Charge of Aurora — and Michael Is Served Separation Papers

Isaiah is relaxing in the steam room when Jordan walks in, wondering what he’s doing here. She reveals this is the women’s steam room.

He swore he went into the right one. When he goes to leave, they find out they are shut in. Jordan says they need to find some way to open

the door, but there is nothing to help them, so they bang on it and scream.

A young woman hears them and comes to their aid but finds the door is stuck. She says she’ll get help. Before Jordan can ask them to turn off the steam, they run off, and the steam keeps coming.

They sit down, and Jordan laughs about this being how she goes out. He thinks she’s been through a lot more dangerous situations than this, having been a cop, and she can say the same about him running around Africa.

Eventually, the fire department shows up and frees them. The door jam got stuck from the other side. The fireman notices Deputy Mayor Ashford and says hello to her. Embarrassed, she thanks him and quickly exits.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn and Gio wrap gifts for Scout. She’s worried she went overboard. Gio says there is no such thing at Christmas, but no amount of presents will make up for her losing her mom. She guesses he misses his mom this time of year. Gio says she loved Christmas and would play a certain Italian Christmas carol every time this year, and he’ll play it for her. Brook Lynn looks forward to it but wonders why he’s here and not out with friends.

Gio says he hasn’t had much time to make friends between school and practice. Brook Lynn says she’s going to keep on him about getting out there, meeting people, and finding a future wife before her mom finds one for him. He notes she sounds just like his mom.

In the kitchen, Jason is about to wash his plate, but Sasha tells him to put it down, as that is her job. Sasha’s studying up on some new dishes to get creative with leftovers. Jason thanks her for always having snacks for the kids, given that they don’t have much of an appetite lately. Sasha understands, and while she has him here, she thanks Jason as she owes him her life.

Jason asks if she’s heard from Holly after everything that went down with Sidwell. Sasha says she has, believe it or not. Robert and Holly have both been texting her, and sometimes she texts back sometimes. She bemoans about her mom, but says she at least had the good sense to send him to rescue her from Sidwell.

Sasha has a question for Jason, and it’s a tough one. She saw an old photo of him in a reindeer sweater, so is there any chance he’ll wear it this year? Jason won’t be, saying those days are long gone.

Tracy opens the front door to Martin, who has business with Michael. Tracy says to leave the envelope he’s holding with her, as Michael isn’t here. He explains it is confidential. Tracy invites him in and knows he’s here to serve Michael with divorce papers, and she assumes Nina and Willow have retained him to represent them. She suggests he go back and tell them when they go against Michael, that they go against the entire Quartermaine family. She says the Quartermaines always end up winning in the end.

Tracy says no judge would rule over a loving father like Michael for a cheating spouse. He says marriage is complicated, and they have about eight between them, so they should know. She calls him a vulture who thrives on others’ misfortunes. He laughs, given she lives to make people miserable, himself included. He storms out.

Later, Jason is about to head out when Tracy stops him. She has made it clear she doesn’t like him, calling him a thug and an ingrate. For some reason, Edward, Monica, and Alan loved him, and he rejected that love. Now he’s living here, and he’s not entitled to. Jason says Danny is entitled to live here, which is the only reason he’s here. He’s trying to make this work for Danny with everyone, including her. She says one thing she’ll give him is that he is exactly who he says he is and doesn’t pretend to be anyone else. She prefers him over his sham of a brother, and he’s shown himself to be a true member of this family. He never thought about it, but she’s right.

Willow returns to Nina’s place and is stunned that she decorated as much as she did for the kids. Nina says she did it for her too, but that’s not all she did. She says she retained Martin to represent her, but Willow thinks she’s jumping the gun. She believes whatever happens, Michael knows the kids belong with her, and they’ll compromise on that. Nina says he is a Quartermaine and a Corinthos, and they never compromise.

Willow can’t think about this now. She says that’s what she and Martin are here for, and she will do whatever it takes to keep Amelia and Wiley with her. She can’t count on Michael’s family to help her. Willow says Drew is on her side, but Nina says he is not someone she should rely on. Willow says Drew is hurting now, too. She says he’s in a hotel away from his daughter and will be alone on Christmas. Nina thinks he deserves that, but Willow says nobody does. Willow reveals she invited Drew and Scout to come over on Christmas Eve.

Nina tells her that is a mistake, but Willow says it is Christmas. Nina says she needs to be ready for a long, hard battle. Willow asks Nina to leave strategy to the lawyers, right now she needs Nina to be her mother. Nina says she’ll allow Drew over, and set down some rules with him, but asks Willow not to dismiss Martin Grey. She’ll need him once Michael learns Drew was here with his children. Nina tells Willow to know she’ll always be her mom and always be here for her. They embrace.

At Aurora, Drew tells Curtis the company’s stocks are tanking. Curtis says it’s under control. Drew notes he doesn’t seem surprised by this. Curtis says everything has already been stabilized, but Drew says an incorrect report was released to the media, so what is he doing about it? Curtis says it sounds like a job for a CEO, and he is replacing him with Michael, isn’t he?

Drew plays dumb initially but then admits he was going to put him back in charge of the wellness division. Curtis says he’s been a good CEO, and Drew says he has, until today. Drew then realizes Curtis did this for payback, and he has no choice but to fire Curtis. Curtis says he can’t fire him as he has been promoted. He says the press release will come out shortly that the company’s new majority shareholder, Michael Corinthos, has named him the permanent CEO. Drew can’t believe this as they are friends. Curtis says they were friends. Drew vows to get him out, but Curtis has an ironclad contract. Drew thinks the SEC will have something to say, but Curtis claims they’ll only see that he and Michael did what was best for the company. Curtis refuses to be a pawn in his and Michael’s war and won’t be taken advantage of anymore. Drew warns him Michael has his own motives for doing this. Curtis knows, and it seems he’s the only one who is focused on Aurora.

Drew asks why he didn’t come to talk to him about it. Curtis says he tried, and Drew treated him like a lackey. He asks why he gave Michael the job. Drew says Michael ran Aurora before and has more experience. Curtis says they both know that’s not true, and he offered Michael the job because he’s been sneaking around with his wife. Drew says he won’t stand for this. Curtis hands him his nameplate off the door and lets him know he’ll make Drew a lot of money as a minority shareholder. Drew walks off.

In the Aurora Health Center, Michael runs into Chase. Chase is sorry for what he’s going through and is here if he needs him. Michael says that’s generous, given he did to Chase what Drew is doing to him. Chase doesn’t see it that way, What Michael did was misguided, but he’s a good guy.

Michael admits he doesn’t want to end his marriage, and he didn’t want to confront Willow about the video and have it blow up his marriage. Now he’s afraid he won’t be able to save it. Michael and Chase discuss why Michael keeps things from Willow. Michael only wants to protect her and for her to see the best in him, but they can’t be honest with each other. He says she sees Drew as someone who wouldn’t lie to her.

Chase talks about how Willow was raised in a cult, and she doesn’t trust easily. Michael knows, and he put her on this pedestal, thinking her life was perfect. Chase says it seems Willow put him on a pedestal, along with Drew. Michael hopes to work things out with Willow and forgive her one day. However, Drew will pay for blowing up his marriage.

Eventually, Martin finds Michael on the treadmill alone, hands him the envelope, and says to consider himself served. Michael opens the envelope, and it’s legal separation papers.

In Rice Plaza, Joss is stunned to run into Cam. He reveals he’s only home for a bit and is headed to Key West for Christmas. She remembers how much crap he gave her for having warm Christmases in Australia. He asks if she and Dex are doing anything fun. Joss realizes he doesn’t know and reveals Dex died last night. Cam had no idea and asks how she’s doing. Joss says she’s trying to put one foot in front of the other.  She explains what happened, and Cam embraces her and again says he’s so sorry.

Cam says he’s happy she and Dex found one another and had the time they did. Gretchen appears, kisses Cam, and introduces herself to Joss. Gretchen has heard all about Joss and Trina, and their times together. Joss realizes Cam is going to Key West with Gretchen. Cam explains her parents have a house there, and they stopped here just to get last minute presents. Gretchen says they need to get to the airport and leaves them to call a rideshare. Cam and Joss hug and wish each other a Merry Christmas before parting.

Joss’ phone pings and she realizes it’s her first full day without Dex. Suddenly, it begins to snow, and Dex appears in his dress blues for a moment, smiles at Joss, and then vanishes.

Next on General HospitalBrennan runs into Carly outside of Bobbie’s. He jokes, “It’s a Christmas miracle, Santa got my letter.” Kai wishes Trina a happy holiday. James complains to his mother and Felicia that he finally has an uncle and he’s not here for Christmas. Sasha tells Cody that he deserves a family. Willow admits to Drew that she’s beginning to feel she doesn’t know Michael at all. A desperate Nina calls someone and says she needs them here, now.
