Coronation Street‘s Chesney Brown is set to get caught in the middle of a dramatic row between new neighbours Mick and Lou Michaelis.
The new “nightmare” residents are debuting on the soap this week, with Gemma striking a bond with Lou after realising they’re both mums from Bessie Street.
However, Chesney is currently unaware that Mick is the mystery man with a van who has been tormenting him.
In new scenes airing on Monday (February 17), Lou introduces husband Mick to Gemma and Chesney after befriending Gemma at the corner shop.
Chesney helps Mick to move their furniture into their new residence, as the two return to find Gemma and Lou enjoying themselves.
Yet things take a tense turn when Mick tells Lou he’s broken her dead Nan’s vase, leading to a massive row between the couple as their relationship hits the rocks.
Gemma pushes Chesney to speak to Mick, but will he be able to get through to him? As he’s oblivious to Mick’s identity as the van man, will he live to regret their friendship?
Show producer producer Kate Brooks previously teased that Mick and Lou will cause “absolute carnage for the residents of Coronation Street”.
“Their relationship is volatile to say the least, but at the heart of it lies a fierce sense of family loyalty, and woe betide anyone who tries to come between them,” she added.
“Although they’re the life and soul of any party, they’re equally not everyone’s cup of tea, and they soon find themselves at the root of some explosive drama.”
