Emmerdale‘s John Sugden rushes to the rescue yet again next week as Jacob Gallagher collapses in strange circumstances.
John gets another opportunity to play the hero when Jacob suffers a life-threatening allergic reaction.
Viewers can expect the drama to play out just as John is facing scrutiny over his work at the Brook Cottage Surgery.
Liam Cavanagh starts to doubt John when he misdiagnoses Kerry Wyatt. Deciding that it’s best to be cautious, Liam announces plans to review all of John’s work to check that his recent actions have been up to scratch.

The next day, there’s a frightening incident for Jacob when he drinks coffee from the wrong cup and goes into anaphylactic shock.
Jacob tries to use his AAI pen to resolve the situation, but he finds that it’s missing and his condition rapidly deteriorates.

John soon rushes in to help, checking for a pulse as Victoria watches on in horror. Is this John’s big chance to prove himself amid the problems he’s facing at the surgery?
The incident has eerie similarities to a worrying episode that took place at The Hide in September 2023.
Back then, Jacob suffered an allergic reaction after Victoria mistakenly told him that his meal would be nut-free. The ensuing scandal threatened to wreck Victoria’s career.

Last month, John was involved in a separate collapse drama when Chas Dingle fell to the ground and hit her head at The Woolpack.
John managed to rescue Chas and it was subsequently revealed that somebody had been tampering with her pain medication.
