Thaao Pehghlis (ex-Tony/Andre, DAYS) shared a touching message, reminiscing about their shared time on the show. He said, “We shared much over the years, John, Tony, and Andre. Great stories were told. To his family, to Deidre and Days, so sorry for your great loss.

We will remember him well even though our hearts bleed. Drake thank you and may this next journey be one of great enlightenment. RIP.”

Greg Vaughan (Eric, DAYS) offered a glimpse into the close relationship he shared with Hogestyn.

“He was more than just a family man; he always made time for anyone and everyone!” Vaughan continued, “He was a wonderful storyteller, and most importantly, a loving and caring person. As a father figure to me and many of my co-stars, we shared our love for sports, and he always wanted to hear about my son’s life and sports! He was hilarious and approached it with gusto and happy enthusiasm, as he did everything.”
