Fans are raising eyebrows after the BBC released a teaser for an upcoming episode airing on the 13th of April, and let’s just say, it doesn’t take much reading between the lines to figure out what’s coming next for Jasmine Fisher.
The official blurb reads: ‘It’s the day of Vicki and Ross’s stag dos, Jasmine starts to feel part of the Slaters, and Bea makes a decision about her love life.’
Wait… what?
Considering Jasmine is currently on trial for murder, the idea that she’s casually ‘feeling part of the Slaters’ pretty much screams one thing: she’s not behind bars anymore. And if she’s not in prison, it strongly suggests she’s been found not guilty.
So yes, it looks like a huge twist may have been revealed ahead of time… whether that was intentional or not. Has the BBC just let slip a major spoiler, or could they just be throwing us off the scent? That all remains to be seen.

Jasmine’s storyline has been one of the soap’s most intense in recent months. The teenager, played by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness, has been awaiting trial after admitting to killing her biological father, Anthony Trueman, on Christmas Day.
However, Jasmine has always insisted that she acted in self-defence. Crucially, video footage from her missing phone supports her version of events, and now that the phone has finally been recovered and handed to the police, her case is heading to court.
Despite this potentially game-changing evidence, Jasmine isn’t exactly confident things will go her way.
‘She knows the truth about what happened and hopes others will believe her, but past experiences have taught her to be wary of hope,’ Indeyarna has revealed, hinting that Jasmine is preparing herself for the worst.
There’s also concern from her lawyer, Ritchie Scott, who worries that a statement from Anthony’s father, Patrick Trueman, could sway the case in a negative direction. In response, she pushes Kat Moon to give evidence in Jasmine’s defence, but Kat is hesitant.

That hesitation doesn’t last forever though. With Zoe Slater fearing that her son Josh could leave Walford if Jasmine is convicted, the pressure builds. Kat is left torn, knowing that speaking out could either help Jasmine or risk damaging her already fragile relationship with Zoe.
All of this builds up to the big moment, the verdict. With both the Slaters and the Truemans bracing themselves, Jasmine is left facing two life-changing possibilities: freedom or a long stretch behind bars.
‘She’s terrified because she’s facing the possibility of either spending a long time in prison or being found innocent and released; both outcomes feel scary to her in their own right,’ Indeyarna adds.
Except… if that BBC teaser is anything to go by, we might already know which way it goes.
Because Jasmine ‘feeling part of the Slaters’ doesn’t exactly sound like someone about to spend a long time behind bars does it?
Of course, soaps love a misdirect, so there’s always a chance there’s more to this than meets the eye. But if this really is a slip-up, then it looks like Jasmine is set to walk free, proven innocent, and finally able to start rebuilding her life in Walford.
