Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) has a shocking reason for quitting his firefighter EMT job, so Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) about to find out the tragic truth. Days viewers are eager to learn more, so let’s talk about what Javi’s hiding.

In DOOL’s May 9 episode, Javi came to Sarah Horton Kiriakis’ (Linsey Godfrey) rescue by realizing she was in anaphylactic shock and jabbing her with an EpiPen.

Leo was impressed over Javi playing the hero, but Javi fled the scene to avoid getting praise.

Although Javi tried to act like he just didn’t want everyone making a fuss over him, Leo suspected there was more to the story.

That led to Javi admitting he had some medical training since he was supposed to be a firefighter EMT back in Corpus Christi.

Right after Javi became a probationary firefighter, he threw in the towel and ditched his passion.

Now Leo wants to know why, but Javi forced him to table the discussion since this is a very painful topic for him.

Javi promised to tell Leo what happened someday, but he clearly wanted to delay his confession as long as possible.

That’s why Leo took matters into his own hands by doing some Internet research, but Days fans don’t know what he might’ve learned just yet.

If Leo does find something online, then whatever went down must’ve been bad enough to warrant some news coverage.

Since Javi is so against being viewed as a hero, there may have been a situation where he made a wrong call and or at least couldn’t save someone he thought he should’ve been able to save.

If Javi was being honest about throwing in the towel, then he didn’t get fired.

Whatever happened probably wasn’t truly Javi’s fault – no matter how much he might be blaming himself.

Regardless, Leo has been pressuring Javi to stop working for Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) since he’s pretty miserable at Gabi Chic.

Leo also wants Javi to find something he’s more passionate about, so Days spoilers suggest Javi will eventually get his firefighter EMT plans back on track.

It sounds like Leo may give Javi some reassurance about the past and make some predictions about his bright future on this career path.
