Days of our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, July 18, prove that EJ is still the most interesting person in Salem, as Cat gets an earful about her target from a surprising source, and Gwen has a shocking demand for him.

Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) put Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) on the job of bringing down the DiMera empire. So why is Rafe (Galen Gering) the one filling her in on all the bad things EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has done?

Now, we realize that Rafe, as an ex of Sami’s (Alison Sweeney), does have a unique perspective on the evil dude. But is that what Shane is actually interested in? Shouldn’t he have his own dossier?

In the meantime, are we all just assuming that EJ is Shane’s target? What if it’s another DiMera? After all, Cat has played Chad (Billy Flynn) before. When Thomas (Cary Christopher) invites Cat to hang with him and his dad, is Cat doing it for Thomas, for Chad… or for Shane?

Baby Steps

And while Chad, Cat, and Thomas frolic, Xander (Paul Telfer) continues trying to prove that he’s the superior parent for Victoria. Everything is fine as long as the tot is asleep, or smiling, or gurgling at Daddy. But babies also cry. A lot. (Just ask Leo [Greg Rikaart] and Javi [Al Calderon) how their foster parenting is going.)

Victoria is done being sleepy or smily. Now Victoria is cranky. And what’s Daddy going to do about that?

Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is back in town. She’s rich now. But she still needs a place to live. And she’s chosen… the DiMera Mansion.

EJ is as confused as we are. Why? How? What? Gwen can’t stop talking about all the money she got by divorcing Dimitri (Peter Porte). She can buy The Salem Inn. What’s her agenda here?
