Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that actors and characters go through a rollercoaster on soaps sometimes.

However, the gossip mill started suggesting that Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) is leaving the Peacock soap.

The actress came forward to clarify her status and make it clear about her plans. Keep reading and let’s talk about it.

Recast Rollercoaster

Fans were pretty hard on Cherie in the beginning. However, Cherie never tried to imitate Camila’s version of Gabi. The actress took the bull by the horns and made Gabi uniquely her own.

Cherie did this without making it seem like Gabi was a totally different character, too. So far, she’s done an incredible job, especially considering that fans aren’t kind to recasts in general.

When Cherie was offered the part of Gabi, fans wouldn’t actually see her for months. When Cherie’s debut finally aired, fans were incredibly harsh. In fact, fans might recall that in the first episode in which Cherie appeared, she didn’t say a word.

Yet, still, some viewers immediately slammed her despite her not having one single line of dialogue on that first day. Talk about a tough room.

Exit Speculation

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Cherie was bullied online, which she’s already dealt with. However, now some fans groups are claiming that Gabi is leaving.

Cherie hasn’t even been on for a year yet. While sometimes actors do leave quickly, this news doesn’t seem to have any truth to it. The actress went to X to shut down claims that she’s leaving.

“I guess there’s a rumor going around that I’m leaving DOOL & so I just wanted to squash that right now by letting y’all know I’m not going anywhere. I love playing Gabi & everyone at #Days ⏳♥️✨.” 

Gabi Hernandez’s Future

As for Gabi’s future, right now, she is in romance with JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). However, Gabi is also entwined in the EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) drama as well. Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is home safe and is actually himself this time.

At the same time, Gabi isn’t going to stop until she gets justice. There is also Gabi’s beef with Javi Hernandez’s (Al Calderon) lover, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). So, there are a lot of juicy stories that indicate Gabi is sticking around for a while.
