While Days of Our Lives takes place in Salem, Illinois, the show is actually shot at Burbank Studios in Burbank, California.
While Illinois can experience extreme hot in the summer and cold in the winter, California has those changes but at much
milder temperatures. Being a resident of Los Angeles, DAYS’ Dan Feuerriegel took to social media to explain how one
should dress for that state’s weather.
He Seemed Under the Weather
On Instagram, Feuerriegel shared a video and wrote, “Cracked the California weather code 🙃 #fourseasonsinoneday. Instagram told me to make this a reel 😆.” So he did. The video had him wearing a white ski hat with a large pom pom atop it, while he had a t-shirt and shorts on, along with boots and socks. (Find out why EJ’s had enough with Gabi.)
In the video, he stated, “This ladies and gentlemen is how you appropriately dress for Los Angeles weather.” Pointing to his hat he said, “Winter,” then pointed to his shirt and pants saying, “Summer” for each, and then panned down to his feet and hilariously dragged out the word, “Winter!” hilariously adding, “Because you have no idea what the temperature’s going to be like when you step outside.” He ended with a thumbs-up and an ear-to-ear grin on his face.
He’s a Seasonal Professional
One fan loved his post and enthusiastically replied, “A true seasonal….I mean seasoned professional!😂😉 So great! Never can be to careful haha!” Fans from all over got a kick out of it, and chimed in about the weather where they’re located, with one writing, “Days of Our Lives’ Dan Feuerriegel Reveals Unexpected Hacks for Beating the LA Weather.” Another added in, “Try Ohio! Always keeps you guessing! 😂.”
He even got responses from other countries with a Canadian fan responding, “You want confusing weather. Try living in Atlantic Canada! They say if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes😂,” and an Australian gave their perspective with: “A bit like Melbourne weather 4 seasons in one day😄.” And one follower shared a funny weather encounter with, “Got 3inches of snow here overnight, but still saw a dude going into the grocery store wearing a heavy coat, gloves, ear muffs and skin-tight short shorts.
