EMMERDALE fans have blasted the latest episode of the ITV soap as a “waste of time.”
Angry viewers admitted to turning off their televisions during the 30-minute episode as they called out script writers for “getting it so wrong.”
It came following Monday’s Emmerdale episode which saw Dr Manpreet Sharma, played by Rebecca Sarker, involved in a physical altercation with Ruby Milligan, played by Beth Cordingly.
She ended up in handcuffs after the brawl which saw Ruby pull medic Manpreet by her hair in a row over Manpreet’s kiss with Ross Barton, played by Michael Parr.
Ruby had seen the pair locking lips just hours after her daughter Steph dumped Ross and initially confronted Manpreet at her surgery.
Yet not letting things lie, Manpreet arrived at Ruby’s Depot where she was having a natter with Kerry Wyatt.
Determined to be heard, she firstly hijacked a fork lift truck before goading Ruby about her affair with her brother in law Cain Dingle.
Proud mum Ruby then snapped, prompting the altercation which needed police presence.
The pair were arrested for ABH and it remains to be seen how their police stint plays out.
Yet despite the drama, those at home were less than impressed.
One took to X to put: “What a waste of a half an hour that was.”

A second raged: “Emmerdale How do the scriptwriters repeatedly get it so wrong?”
A third then put: “What a waste of time that was.
“Inane conversation between Vinnie and whatever his name is and a very daft situation between Manpreet and Ruby.”
Previously, actor Mike Parr revealed the real reason he returned to the soap as Ross.
Meanwhile, last week, The Sun revealed how Emmerdale had filmed devastating murder scenes for a beloved character.
We then exclusively revealed how serial killer John Sugden, played by Oliver Farnworth, has quit the soap.
