CORONATION Street fans have been left stunned after a soap star revealed her “real age” on her milestone birthday.
ITV actress Vicky Myers, who plays DS Swain in the soap, told how she was “incredibly grateful” for her gifts and well-wishes as she turned 50.
Loyal Corrie viewers were left taken aback at Vicky Myers’ revelation, with one gushing “you don’t look your age at all!”
It’s a big year on and off screen for the DS Swain actress, who is set to marry Carla Connor on the ITV soap this year.
Yet away from the Cobbles, she was eager to share her happy day, posting a picture of a tree against the backdrop of a stunning blue and pink sky tagged with the location “Home Sweet Home”.
Stockport-born Vicky, who has also starred on Ackley Bridge and The Long Shadow, to name a few, wrote a lengthy caption which read: “Hello 50!

“Thank you for the messages, cards, letters, edits and reels, (I still don’t quite know the difference between the two but hey…) and the gifts, oh my goodness, the gifts!!!!
“What do you say when ‘thank you’ just doesn’t quite hit the mark? I’m so incredibly grateful.
“You had me dumbstruck, which is no mean feat. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Over on X, fans couldn’t quite believe her milestone.
One wrote: “Crikey, you genuinely don’t look 50 I thought Carla had bagged herself a younger woman, I thought you were early 40s (I’m 45 and don’t think you look my age, I don’t look it either, got told ‘but you’re only 30’ in a very sad tone of voice in December) happy birthday and many more.”
A second mused: “50? No, surely not! x”
A third posted: “You’re so special to us fans’ that’s why we love you! You don’t look your age at all! X”
Vicky, who joined Corrie officially in 2024 after first appearing as DS Lisa in 2021, then addressed her fans directly.
She wrote: “Whilst we are on this topic though, please do not feel that you have to send a gift to receive a signed cast card – that is absolutely NOT the case.
The beloved British soap has been captivating audiences for decades.
“I would hate for anyone to think that and I worry some might.
“All you need to do is pop a letter in the post to the studios; I’ll read it, respond, sign the cast card and post it back to you, at some point.
“Please be patient but you will receive a response at some point this year, I hope.
“That said, I don’t want this message to come across that I’m being ungrateful either, because that could not be further from the truth.
“I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude and my heart is full, as is my front room.
“Thank you for making the day so very special!
“Here’s to another trip around the sun it’s going to be the best yet!
“Lots of love”.

Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks recently revealed Vicky’s character’s exciting 2026.
Things are currently on the up for Lisa and Carla after Becky’s arrest.
Kate revealed: “They were engaged, so wedding bells are certainly ringing in the not too distant future. And they’ll get their happy ever after.
“They will get the chance to kind of finally be free from Becky and be free from the drama that surrounded that story and be happy and content with each other.”
She noted: “It’s going to be a romantic spring, I think, for Carla and Lisa, which will make many people smile, I imagine.”

Yet the pair’s nuptials are also at the heart of the soap’s flash-forward episode, which will resolve in April after Lisa’s daughter found a dead body.
It comes as the five characters in line to be killed off came to light.
