Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Theo manipulates Todd again
A key character in Tim Metcalfe’s past is set to make a return to Coronation Street in the near future, according to a new report. Villain Trisha Marlow, played by Anita Booth, is alleged to be coming back to the ITV soap this spring.

The report, which comes via The Sun, hints at big scenes to come for the character and his wife Sally, who are played by Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor respectively.
Last year, it emerged that Trisha groomed Tim when he was a teenager; sleeping with him when she was 20-years-old and he was just 14.
A source told the tabloid: “Trisha has already caused so many problems for Tim and Sally. Tim doesn’t believe he was groomed despite Sally trying her best to make him see that he was.
“It’s been quite a dark storyline for the couple and with Trisha’s return things are set to get even darker.”
Earlier this year, soap boss Kate Brooks indicated that more is to come from the storyline, saying: “Up until this point, we’ve seen Tim being quite dismissive about what happened in the past and not fully realise the extent of what had happened.

“He didn’t feel tarnished by it. He was young. He felt like it was great and ‘every young lad’s dream’. We wanted to take Tim and the audience on a similar journey at the same time.”
Elsewhere on the soap, actor Liam McCheyne has teased that his character, Dylan Wilson, will soon take centre stage alongside Betsy Swain, sharing: “It’s going to be quite a big 2026. I’ve got a nice storyline to get my teeth stuck into, which is great.
“It’ll be quite a lot of work with Sydney [Martin, who plays Betsy]. It’s very coming of age. It’s a subject storyline, which is obviously Corrie‘s speciality – it’s one thing the show is amazing at. So I’m very excited for that.”
