Congratulations are in order for everyone’s favorite on-screen hitman!
Jason may not have much of a love life right now on General Hospital, but his portrayer Steve Burton is celebrating a major milestone in his relationship.
Real-Life Love in the Afternoon
Burton, who returned to GH last year after a stint on Days of our Lives as Harris, made his relationship with Michelle Lundstrom public last year when he attended the Daytime Emmy Awards with her. Now, the actor took to Instagram to announce their engagement.
In a reel of photos that captured the big moment, to the tune of âGlory of Loveâ by Peter Cetera, Burton simply wrote, âEngaged 1/3/25,â along with a red heart emoji, a diamond ring emoji, and the infinity symbol emoji.
Known for often sharing inspirational quotes and scriptures, he ended the post with, âJeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,â he declared the Lord, âplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’â
Burton received a flood of congratulatory comments from both fans and castmates.
âWooooo hooooo. Congratulations,â his on-screen best friend Laura Wright (Carly, GH) wrote, while his real-life best friend and co-star Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH) posted heart emojis and clapping emojis along with, âAMAZING,â written in all caps.
Burtonâs former on-screen love Kelly Thiebaud (ex-Britt, GH) commented, âCongratulations!!â with a champagne emoji, while former Port Chuck band mate Scott Reeves (ex-Steve, GH), who temporarily returned to GH last year, wrote, âCouldnât be happier for you, buddy.â
As for Burtonâs former The Young and the Restless co-stars, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R, ex-Nina, GH) shared, âBeautiful Steve! Congratulations,â with a red heart emoji, while Courtney Hope (Sally, Y&R) said, âCongrats!â
