Liam McCheyne sparked fears when he posted the message about having to “accept things the way they are” on social media.
It comes after his Coronation Street character Dylan Wilson was sent to a Secure Training Centre (STC).
The message read: “Sometimes you need to let go and accept things the way they are, and not the way you wished they could be.
“Some parts of your journey are only supposed to be temporary.
“Maybe this is part of your journey to teach you a lesson, to teach you that you deserve more, to encourage you to grow.”
Liam did not specify what this quote means to him, but he did tell his followers: “I definitely needed to read this, so for anyone else who does.”
The past few months has seen a big cull of stars at Coronation Street.
This week, Liam’s character Dylan received his sentence for his role in Mason Radcliffe’s tragic death.
Dylan’s zombie knife was used to kill Mason and he was told he would be going to serve time in a Secure Training Centre.
The troubled teenager bought the weapon in the false belief that he needed it to protect himself.

However, Logan and Matty Radcliffe went on to use it at the Weatherfield Precinct to stab their younger brother.
Despite Corrie fans’ fears over Liam’s post, it appears his character will not be written out during his six-month sentence at the STC.
It is believed to be paving the way for a new storyline which will see Dylan fearing for his life after being locked up with dangerous lags.
Before being sent down, Dylan received a word of warning from Lauren Bolton.
She told him: “If you want my advice, don’t be yourself.
“Don’t cry, don’t let your guard down for a second. And don’t trust anyone who’s nice to you – they’re after something.”
Liam joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2011. He played Dylan for a year before returning in 2020.
In the early days, he shared the role with his twin brother Conor.
Over the past few months, a string of Corrie stars have either quit or been axed from the ITV soap.
Their exits come as ITV dramatically slashed it schedule, with bosses reducing the show from six episodes per week, to just five 30-minute episodes.
ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap.
This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama.
Insiders previously told us that the stars have known for a while changes were coming, but it left many feeling disgruntled and concerned about their future on the flailing soap.
A TV source said: “Rumours of a schedule change had been rumbling for a while so it wasn’t a huge surprise to the cast but now the news is out there it is starting to feel very real.
“Some of the cast have gone into panic mode and are really considering their futures.
“They are thinking of leaving before there axed to save them the embarrassment.”
