Coronation Street‘s Kevin Webster discovers that his wife Abi is sabotaging Carl Webster’s job to get him sacked from the garage next week. But will he work out why she’s so determined to get rid of him?

Kevin’s discovery comes straight after he read inappropriate messages on Abi’s phone from Carl, hinting that he wants to get to know her better. Could Kevin put two and two together and expose the truth?

After Kevin sees her phone, Abi warns Carl to stay away from her. However, it soon becomes clear Carl won’t take no for an answer – so Abi takes extreme measures to get rid of her seductive brother-in-law and the risk of temptation.

“To try and save her marriage, Abi sneaks around and secretly tampers with a car at the garage,” explains our insider. “She wants to make it look like Carl hasn’t done his job properly, in the desperate hope that he’ll be sacked and will have to go back to Germany.”

Abi eagerly shows Kevin the car she’s meddled with and is quick to blame Carl. But when Kevin studies the CCTV, he’s stunned to see his wife is responsible for the damage.

Later in the week, Kevin has bigger things to worry about as he attends an appointment to hear his latest test results. When Abi is forced to head out on a breakdown call, Kevin goes to the appointment alone, still seething over her lies.

“Abi’s in a huge dilemma,” our source says. “She is torn between the two Webster brothers, but if Kevin gets told bad news at the hospital, it will make the decision for her. Regardless of anything else, Abi could not and would not leave Kevin while he’s ill.”

While Kevin waits for the consultant, Carl continues to pursue Abi at the garage. As she vows her commitment to Kevin, Carl pushes her buttons, telling her he can’t stop thinking about her – and he knows she feels the same.

As the sexual tension bristles between the pair, Kevin faces his future alone. But will he receive the all-clear he’s hoping for, or will it be bad news? And will his results force Abi to stay with him out of obligation?
