Eastenders has aired a new twist in Zack Hudson’s plot to leave Walford with his son Barney Mitchell.
Barney is Zack’s son as a result of his past fling with Nicola Mitchell but the teen has been brought up believing Teddy is his dad.
Recent episodes have seen Zack plotting to take Barney away after growing closer to his son and finding out Nicola’s big secret.
While Benji is in the frame for the murder of Shireen Bashar, Nicola confessed to Zack that she’s actually the killer and threatened him by saying she knows where Zack’s ex-Whitney, their daughter Dolly and foster child Britney are.
However, Zack is still determined to leave with his son.

On tonight’s episode (Tuesday, 20 May), Vicki confronted Zack in the café, telling him she hoped he’d slept on his idea to ‘kidnap’ Barney.
Zack replied that Barney wants to get away from Nicola’s home – however, Vicki reminded him that the teenager does not know Zack’s his real father, plus Nicola and Teddy could unleash dangerous repercussions on them.
But Zack was undeterred, saying he’d tell Barney the truth about his paternity and reminding Vicki that she knows how awful it is to be lied to about your true identity.
However, Vicki told him that “sometimes the truth can mess with you as much as the lies,” and added that Zack can’t just “blow his whole world apart” and expect Barney to trust him.
Later in the Vic, Teddy told Harry that Benji had been charged with Shireen’s murder, saying that they could now begin to put everything behind them.
But an angry Harry told him that, if it wasn’t for Nicola hiring Benji, Shireen would still be alive.

Also in The Vic, Zack spoke to Jay and found out that Harry had moved out of Nicola and Teddy’s house a few weeks ago and is now living with Billy and Honey.
When Zack saw Vicki again, he told her that he was sorry about what happened earlier. He said he agreed that he couldn’t just tell Barney he’s his father, the news needed to come from someone Barney trusts.
Mentioning that Harry had moved out of his parent’s home, Zack said that the timing aligned with when Shireen’s body was found so perhaps he’d realised what kind of people Nicola and Teddy are and wanted nothing to do with them.
Zack said his new plan was to speak to Harry and get him on side in the hope that he might want to give his little brother a better life. However, Vicki wasn’t so sure that Harry would be willing to turn on his parents so easily.
