creates trouble for Kyle and Summer, and Billy changes his approach with Lily.
Wednesday’s recap: Adam and Sally are grieving for Ava, Billy gets a new idea after his argument with
Lily, and Kyle and Summer are having a dispute over Harrison.

Adam meets Connor and Chelsea at Crimson Lights. Connor mentions that sleeping in his old room felt strange and that he’d panic when he woke up.
Chelsea complains that he should have shared this sooner, but Connor wanted to discuss it together.
They urge him not to shield them and push for more details.
CBS
Connor reveals that it triggered his OCD.
Chelsea insists on knowing why he didn’t tell her sooner. Adam tries to get some documentation on how to handle it, but Connor stops him.
He admits it was frightening but he managed to cope. He explains how he calmed himself down and was able to go back to sleep.
CBS
The parents are proud.
Chelsea knows she overreacts easily and has to try not to.
She sends the kid inside to get a treat so they can talk about him.
He smirks and goes off while they sigh.
Adam says they need to stop jumping to conclusions.
CBS
She blames herself for last night but Adam says he worked through it himself.
She continues to worry that he’ll struggle and they won’t see it.
They commiserate over not being able to sleep, anticipating the worst.
They knew he was safe in the facility at least.
CBS
They felt like they were bringing home a newborn.
Chelsea starts to ruminate again.
Can they do this?
Adam talks her down.
They have no choice.
He holds her hand and tells her, “One day at a time.”

Talk turns to how great Sally has been about this mess and he admits he forgot the one year anniversary of Ava’s death.
Chelsea feels terrible.
She didn’t tell him because she didn’t want to burden him with her pain.
Adam feels guilty. Worse than before. Chelsea understands.
When Adam asks if she’s spoken with Billy she says a little and he’s definitely suspicious. Connor returns and questions who is suspicious.
Chelsea says it’s a work thing and covers.

He tells them he ran into a classmate from Walnut Grove who asked where he was all summer.
He lied that he was visiting family. He doesn’t want to be the weird kid when he goes back to school.
CBS
Connor heads upstairs for a nap and Adam takes off to work.
Billy finds Lily in her office at Abbott-Chancellor.
He wants to tell her his plan but first wants to know if she still wants him to leave the company.
She hasn’t changed her mind.
CBS
He’s thankful at least for her honesty. She’s sorry.
She takes responsibility for not realizing how this would go. She can’t risk the company’s future.
He didn’t know he was such a time bomb.
Lily says his baggage causes trouble. He knows but had more faith in all of this.
Why should he walk away? He has his mother’s voting powers and says he can just as easily ask her to walk away.

He was angry with her last night.
She says she’ll fight him on this.
He knows but she won’t have to because he admits he’s a liability.
Lily’s baffled. He tells her after a few stiff scotches, he was able to see this from her point of view.
The company is in chaos which is why Victor wants to come after them. Lily doesn’t deserve it.
CBS
Lily’s surprised more that he’s looking at himself so honestly.
He won’t give up on his dream but won’t force her to walk away, knowing the company wouldn’t exist without her.
He says he’ll become a silent partner. It’ll weaken Victor’s position.
Once things are going well, he can return.
He asks her to take the win when she asks when he’ll be back. Months? Years?

Billy doesn’t think Victor will come after them in the same way with him out of the picture.
They discuss how to announce it without making Billy look weak.
Billy will use Jill’s illness as a cover. Lily says she won’t like it but Billy will try to convince her.
CBS
Kyle lets Claire into the Abbott mansion and tells her that Harrison had a rough night.
The doctor thinks it’s food poisoning.
Claire shows him the chicken soup she made for the boy.
Kyle’s grateful and can tell she cares for him. She calls the kid her little buddy.
CBS
Summer comes down the stairs and overhears Kyle telling Claire this probably wouldn’t have happened if he had stayed in Genoa City or if he would have been allowed to take him with him.
Arms crossed over her chest, Summer asks if he’s blaming her.
CBS
Kyle rolls his eyes. He doesn’t want to argue with her.
She accuses him of badmouthing her behind her back, basically calling her an evil stepmother.
CBS
Kyle says she took Harrison to a new restaurant and he got sick.
Summer calls him ridiculous and Kyle says she’s not a bad parent for taking him to a new restaurant.
She’ll never get custody and the kid belongs with him.
Claire looks uncomfortable and asks them if she can give the soup to the kid.
CBS
Once they agree and she’s gone upstairs, Summer snipes that she can’t believe Kyle didn’t waste time in calling Claire.
Kyle is flabbergasted as to why this is a problem.
They argue and Kyle says this is getting out of hand.
She asks what they’ll do.
CBS
He’s done with the miserable dance and is calling his lawyer to accelerate the custody hearing.
He texts someone and Summer thinks he’s threatening her.
He’s not and expects to win.
Claire returns and says Harrison’s planning an excursion to the park if they’re okay with it.
CBS
They agree fresh air is good for him.
Summer appreciates her bringing Harrison chicken soup and taking care of him.
Kyle says he’s not going to Paris now.
The arguing continues and Kyle says he doesn’t trust her.
CBS
He’s been here with her before and knows who her mother is.
He had the decency to call him yesterday.
Kyle asks why she ignored his calls yesterday.
Summer says they were busy.
CBS
She’d have called if the illness was serious.
Kyle doesn’t believe it and it’s why he’s not going to leave the country.
Summer argues some more until she’s all argued out.
She has to work and asks Claire to keep a close eye on Harrison and she’ll check on him later.
Claire believes they should dial it down for Harrison’s sake.
CBS
Adam and Billy run into each other at Crimson Lights.
Billy asks after Connor and Chelsea and is told they had a rough night.
Billy says he’s going to visit but Adam would prefer if Billy left them alone for now. Billy will take Chelsea’s lead on this.
CBS
Adam says, “I don’t want you to continue your cross-examination, trying to get her to admit something that only exists in your anxiety-filled mind.”
Billy says that clinches it more for him.
If there was nothing to hide, why would Adam care?
CBS
Adam thinks he’s upsetting her and it’s not needed.
Billy knows something happened.
The warning lights it up in neon, Billy says and Adam should count on him finding out what happened.
CBS
Summer arrives at the Athletic Club and calls Elaine, her lawyer.
She talks about how the custody case is worrying her.
