The Young and The Restless star Eric Braeden is known for being brutally honest and never mincing his
words. Whether it is in interviews, or he is speaking his mind on his social media accounts. The man is
just never afraid of calling a spade a spade. Thus, it comes as no surprise that the legendary actor refuses
to be censored!
Eric Braeden has taken a stern stand against social media censorship and has made a bold statement about it recently. Taking to his official X account, The Young and The Restless star announced that he would be quitting the platform (X) within the week. Furthermore, he informed his fans and followers that he also has an Instagram account and that for text posts, he is now moving to “Threads” – Instagram’s new texting app.
“I am leaving X and going to THREADS; I am deactivating my account by in one week!” Eric asked his fans and followers to spread the word! “I shall not be censored by this SOUTH AFRICAN APARTHEID GUY WHO OBVIOUSLY DOESN’t understand AMERICAN DEMOCRACY,” the senior actor fumed boldly.
The Y&R star made the bold move feeling frustrated by X’s alleged censorship. “CENSORSHIP HAS STARTED!!” Eric claimed on one of his latest X posts. He then went on to explain that the platform has ” started censoring any pejorative remark about you know who!!” It is clear that he is not taking any of this lightly.
He has always been very active on Twitter / X, and has used the platform to not just mingle with his fans but also to voice his opinion, stance, and support over various ideas. Thus, we understand that the decision to quit the platform is huge. The announcement left his fans stunned, and they urged Eric to not leave them (and the platform).
Threads is relatively a new platform and there are still many X users who do not use the aforementioned. Thus, it is understandable that they don’t want to give up the opportunity of their interactions with the star. We wonder if Eric would reconsider!
