“For the record, if I’m allowed to say this, I’m not leaving the show at the moment – as far as I know.”

She added: “I’m having a really lovely time. I adore my job. And I definitely don’t think I’m being mistreated by any producers.

“I’m being treated very well and I’m having a lovely time.”

The news comes after it was revealed Beth would be tackling her biggest storyline yet with the news that her character Ruby was subject to childhood sexual abuse.

In a flashback episode viewers discovered that Ruby was abused by her dad Anthony in devastating scenes.

Viewers watched ass Ruby’s sixteenth birthday party got underway with a glimpse of her tragic past, although the scenes were not graphic in content.

Ruby was seen begging her dad to leave her alone as he abused her.
