Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is less than impressed to find Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) worming his way back into Noah’s (Jack Downham) life in Emmerdale.
Joe returned to the village over the festive period and was revealed as the person working with Peter, who wanted to bring down Kim Tate (Claire King) with help from Will (Dean Andrews).
Joe is Noah’s half brother. Because he’s been away from the Dales since 2018 without contacting his family, Joe’s relationship with his sibling remains fractured.
In upcoming episodes, Joe is on a mission to change that – but Charity is going to try and stand in his way.
When Joe finds Noah in the village, he attempts to build bridges by offering him VIP tickets to a Leeds match. This annoys Charity, who resolves to fix the issue by getting Ross (Michael Parr) to warn him off.
Eventually, Charity realises Ross’ warning has had the desired effect as she learns Joe has backed out of taking Noah to the football.
Later, Joe develops another idea and starts orchestrating another way to get close to his brother, but will he succeed this time?
Away from his relationships with other village residents, we also know Joe is hiding a secret regarding his health.
