Emmerdale star Oliver Farnworth is promising plenty of drama ahead for his character John Sugden following the disturbing revelations that aired this week.
Following the sinister flashbacks showing John endangering several of the villagers, the big question fans are asking is how long it’ll take for the Dales’ latest villain to be caught out. According to Oliver, troubled times for John are coming sooner than we might have expected…
Oliver teased: “There’s lots of big stuff coming up. I guess with the web that John’s woven for himself in the back of his mind, he’s anticipating people to start being suspicious, secrets to come out and people to start finding things out.
“He’s probably got a few set pieces prepared in his mind for dealing with all of this, but really what he’s had to do so far is just think on his feet and adapt to situations around him. I’m sure this will all change soon…”

2. Coronation Street exit for Aadi Alahan

Coronation Street star Adam Hussain is leaving the soap after five years playing Aadi Alahan.
The actor confirmed the news on his Instagram page this week, explaining that it was his choice to bow out to pursue other roles.
Adam said: “Over the five years I’ve spent there, I have learned so much about the world and the industry and now feel I am ready to spread my wings a little.
“I have made friends that will last a lifetime and will surely miss such a special family! This isn’t a farewell for Aadi, however, more like a see you later! I’m excited to see what the future brings!”
Aadi’s final scenes will air in late summer.

3. EastEnders star teases Sonia’s final week

It’s the end of an era for Albert Square as EastEnders favourite Sonia Fowler waves goodbye.
Natalie Cassidy’s final scenes air next week following her decision to leave the role she’s played on and off since 1993.
Sonia’s final week is full of drama, including the arrival of a mystery man, further tensions with Bianca, and more hassle from true crime fans who are obsessed with the Reiss Colwell case.
We’ve also been encouraged to watch out for a touching scene between Sonia and unlikely ally Phil Mitchell, played by Natalie’s real-life close friend Steve McFadden.

4. Neighbours to air Ian Smith’s final episode

Neighbours legend Ian Smith makes his final appearance on the show next week.
The iconic soap actor bows out in Monday’s episode (April 14), which sees Harold Bishop announce plans to move out of Eirini Rising and go to live with his granddaughter Sky in Queensland.
Show bosses wrote in the emotional exit storyline following the sad news of Ian’s real-life terminal cancer diagnosis.
Since finishing filming, Ian has received some positive news about his health, revealing that his life expectancy had been extended following experimental treatment.
