Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle is set to have an explosive row ahead of her shocking collapse next week, putting a new suspect in the frame.

The upcoming scenes will see the character suffer a collapse at The Woolpack after John Sugden’s proposal to Chas’s son Aaron – which could put John in the frame of suspicion.

However, new details have emerged from the scenes that place Ella Forster in the line of fire.

The scenes begin as John expresses his insecurities to Aaron about Chas not accepting him, though wants to get in her good books.

Chas and Liam are thrown a surprise engagement party, though Aaron is determined that John get the credit to win over Chas. However, things turn awkward when Liam’s ex Ella gatecrashes the do unknowingly.

John proposes to Aaron, who delights his boyfriend by saying yes, though Mandy announces the news to the whole pub after listening in.

Chas is unhappy, and takes her son aside to speak about her reservations, unaware that John is listening in.

Ella rants privately about Chas to John, while a paranoid John is aware that Chas isn’t happy about his engagement to Aaron.

Drinks are later spilled, which leads to a big row between Chas and Ella, and their fight becomes the talk of the village.

John is unable to think about the engagement, instead despairing about Chas’s disapproval. But his sister Victoria encourages him to play the long game to win Chas around eventually.

Disaster then strikes when Chas suddenly collapses – will John be able to use his medical skills to save her?

The following day, Ella is at the centre of blame and her life turns chaotic once more.
