Emmerdale has a chilling story ahead for the Dales residents, as multiple lives will be hanging in the balance in a terrifying accident.
Anticipated by a flashforward, a stunt-based storyline airing in February will involve a car crash and a frozen lake.
In the preview, a hand can be seen through the icy lake, desperately grasping for survival. But whose hand is it? And will they be rescued?
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw remained tight-lipped about the storyline, which was filmed over night shoots in the lead up to Christmas.
“With winter nights having drawn in, our audience are enjoying cosy nights indoors whilst our fantastic team at Emmerdale have been recording gripping drama to bring to their screens,” Shaw said in a statement, promising a thrilling, multi-episode story.
“The stunning backdrop of the village, from its rugged woodland to its wilder landscapes, set the perfect stage for what’s to come.
“I’m thrilled for our audience to experience these episodes as they unfold, taking them on a chilling—quite literally—and perilous journey across the frozen ice.”
The soap has just begun a storyline involving Dawn Fletcher and Joe Tate.
Following Dawn’s dad Will’s death, she’s having a hard time coping and was convinced Kim was somehow responsible for his heart attack.
In recent scenes, Dawn drugged Kim to get her to talk but regretted her decision when she had a seizure and to be rushed to the hospital. Luckily, Kim made a full recovery but Dawn’s plan didn’t sit well with her husband Billy, who worried his wife had turned to drugs once again.
The pair have been going through a hard patch as of late, which may have contributed to Dawn kissing Joe as he was comforting her.
