Emmerdale Soap Scoop! Cain tells Moira the truth
The cast of Emmerdale have spoken out following tonight’s huge episode in which Cain Dingle revealed the truth to his wife Moira about his cancer diagnosis.
Viewers know that Cain was recently diagnosed with aggressive, yet localised, prostate cancer, with the soap having worked closely with Prostate Cancer UK on the storyline.
In tonight’s episode, Cain finally opened up to Moira, who is currently in prison, about the true extent of his devastating diagnosis.
Moira’s world fell apart after she learned that the cancer Cain had told her not to worry about was actually much worse.
Following the important episode, some of the soap’s cast appeared in a video encouraging men to get checked for prostate cancer.
In the video, which was shared across Emmerdale’s socials, stars of the soap reminded audiences that one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and that early detection and diagnosis can be life saving.

Among those to take part in the video were Cain actor Jeff Hordley, Marlon Dingle star Mark Charnock, Ross Barton actor Michael Parr and Charles Anderson star Kevin Mathurin.
Also in the video were Eric Pollard actor Chris Chittell, Kammy Hadiq star Shebz Miah, Jacob Gallagher actor Joe-Warren Plant and Liam Cavanagh star Jonny McPherson.
Following Cain’s cancer diagnosis episode, Prostate Cancer UK confirmed that they received a spike in website visits, with people accessing their risk checking facility page.

Prostate Cancer UK’s Chiara De Biase said: “Cain Dingle’s prostate cancer journey has resonated deeply with viewers across the UK, and it has inspired thousands more men to complete our 30-second risk checker and start lifesaving conversations about the disease.
“By making this video, the brilliant Emmerdale cast are building on that impact and helping us reach the men who are most at risk of prostate cancer, ensuring more men are diagnosed in time for a cure. We’re grateful to the whole Emmerdale team for their continued support, and we look forward to seeing how future episodes raise more awareness of the most common cancer in the UK.”
