The search is over!聽Alexa Havins聽has been cast as the new Lulu on聽General Hospital!
Back at the beginning of August, GH released a casting call for a character named Lauren who sounded
suspiciously like the much-missed聽Lulu Spencer. And shortly after that news broke, the character鈥檚 previous portrayer, Emme Rylan,聽confirmed that the soap was going to be recasting聽and she would not be returning to the role she played from 2013 until 2020.聽Daytime Confidential聽first broke the casting news and聽TV Line聽confirmed it.
Havins will be familiar to ABC soap fans from her role as聽All My Children鈥榮 Babe Carey Chandler, which she played from 2003-07, returning for a special appearance in 2011 before the soap aired its final episode on ABC. In 2005, she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress for her work on the soap.
Before falling into the coma, Lulu had confessed to Maxie that she still loved her ex-husband Dante, very much. So while he鈥檚 currently with Sam, look for that relationship to be tested when Lulu wakes up!
