Robert turns up at the cottage to accuse John of committing murder. John shamelessly denies everything, but shows his true colours by attacking Robert and knocking him out cold.

With John distracted, Aaron takes the opportunity to escape from him once and for all.

Back in the village, Paddy approaches Victoria to share his concerns over John’s welfare.

Victoria tries to contact John, but when she gets nowhere, she suggests that Paddy should help her to search for him.

Aaron tries to evade John while searching for a hatch in the woods, aware that it’s connected to Mack’s disappearance. He struggles to find the right spot and is soon stopped in his tracks by a huge gorge.

John isn’t far behind and soon manages to catch up with Aaron, still hoping he can salvage something with the man he loves.

John continues his efforts to manipulate Aaron, hoping that he can talk his way out of trouble with a cover story. Aaron no longer believes a word of it, finally seeing how unbalanced John is.

Aaron urges John to do the right thing by leading him to Mack and coming clean over his crimes. Just when it seems like John is listening and might call the police, Robert appears…

John’s mood instantly changes as he bitterly accuses Aaron of orchestrating a reunion with Robert.

Putting a new masterplan into action, John calls the police to frame Robert for what he’s about to do next. Robert can’t believe his eyes as John jumps into the gorge with his arms around Aaron.

Seeing the motionless bodies of John and Aaron at the bottom of the cliff, a traumatised Robert calls 999.

As the police start to investigate, Robert is flabbergasted as nobody believes his claims over John’s reign of terror in the village.

Robert waits to be questioned and is consumed with fears that Aaron could die and he’ll be sent back to prison.

Meanwhile, Chas shows exactly where her loyalties lie as she vows to make Robert pay for what she believes he’s done to Aaron and John.

After the week’s shocking events, Cain warns Victoria that the Dingles want nothing more to do with the Sugdens.

Moira agrees with Cain’s tough stance, which leaves Victoria in tears. What will this mean for the recent farmland alliance between the Dingles and Sugdens?

Vinny breaks down and finally confides in Kammy about his recent ordeal with violent catfisher Mike.

Kammy is outraged on Vinny’s behalf and calls for justice to be served, but Vinny remains adamant that he doesn’t want to involve the police.

Kammy decides to turn the tables on Mike and tries to trick him by signing up for the LGBTQ+ forum where Vinny first contacted him.

Later, Kammy’s plan unfolds as he meets up with Mike. Is he in danger of making matters worse?

Jacob surprises Charity and Sarah by arranging an early ultrasound. Jacob and Sarah are delighted to see the baby for the first time, but Charity continues to wrestle with her knowledge that the child may not be theirs.

Later, an oblivious Sarah shows the scan photo to Ross. Ross is struck by the possibility that he’s looking at his own baby, although he tries desperately not to give the game away.

Gabby is upset when she learns that Bernice and Kim won’t be attending her wedding to Vinny.

She despairs at the thought that nobody will be around to walk her down the aisle. We’re sure Laurel or Arthur would be willing if she asked!
