1. Caleb realises Cain might be lying
Caleb discovers that Steph has been on contraception for most of her adult life. This makes it unlikely that she was the person who used the morning-after pill at Mill Cottage late last year.
Later, Steph mentions to Caleb that she has spotted an awkward interaction between Ruby and Cain. With the various clues now stacking up, Caleb starts to realise that evil Anthony may have been telling the truth about Ruby and Cain sleeping together.
2. The truth dawns on Caleb
The final straw for Caleb comes when he speaks to Cain, who brazenly lies about his recent interactions with Ruby.
Caleb is now 100% sure that something happened between Cain and Ruby. Biding his time, Caleb resists the urge to attack his brother as he carefully considers his revenge.
3. Charity confronts Joe over his affair
Charity warns Joe that she knows about his affair with Dawn after finding the evidence on Kim’s laptop.
Joe doesn’t seem interested in the repercussions for Dawn’s marriage, but he is very concerned to realise that Kim has been spying on him.
Unsettled that Kim doesn’t trust him, Joe looks for Kim’s hidden audio bug and tries to throw her off the scent by faking a phone call where he speaks positively about his family.
Later, Charity promises Dawn that she won’t tell anyone about the affair. Dawn continues to fret about the situation regardless, but she’s struck by the realisation that Joe doesn’t care about her or her family’s welfare. Has she finally seen Joe’s true colours?
4. Noah and Charity fight back against Joe
Noah announces that he won’t be taking the job that Joe had arranged for him in Dubai, but he claims to have changed his mind again after someone steals his work tools.
Later, Noah and Charity leave Joe stunned by admitting that they knew he was behind the robbery all along. Cain warns Joe to leave Noah alone from now on, but Joe refuses to listen and makes a concerning phone call regarding his brother.
5. Leyla makes a concerning discovery
Leyla is worried to find a bag of white powder in Jacob’s bag as he prepares for a night out with his friends.
Later, Leyla rebukes Jacob in front of his friends, but Jacob finds her intervention embarrassing and speaks his mind.
6. Cain is arrested
The investigation into Anthony’s disappearance continues and Cain is arrested as part of the case.
Steph is furious with Cain but is baffled by the reaction of Caleb and Ruby, who seem determined to defend Cain.
7. Cain tries to find a way to support Moira
Cain feels pushed out by Moira when a chunk of her hair falls out and she asks him to leave her alone.
After confiding in Charity and Lydia over how best to support Moira, caring Cain gets an idea over how to cheer her up.
8. Mary struggles with jealousy
marry is disappointed when she sees how happy Vanessa and Suzy appear to be together.
Still struggling to move on from her own feelings for Suzy, Mary feels left out in the cold.
9. Matty and Amy meet with a social worker
Matty and Amy take the first step towards extending their family following their recent conversations over the future.
The happy couple meet with a social worker, but it doesn’t go according to plan.
10. Liam plans to propose
A raffle takes place in the village, with a trip in a limo the first prize. Liam buys as many tickets as he can, hoping to be the big winner and use the opportunity to propose to Chas.
Liam secures Aaron’s blessing to pop the question, but he’s disappointed when Kerry wins the raffle rather than him.
Kerry plans a girls’ night out, but Liam tries to keep his own plans on track by organising a boys’ night and asking Suzy to secure another limo for it.
11. The limo fun ends in disaster
The night out begins as Kerry, Amy, Tracy, Vanessa, Suzy, Chas, Leyla, Mandy and Charity head into the girls’ limo.
The boys aren’t far behind, with Liam, Mackenzie, Sam, Bear, Matty, Caleb, Cain and Paddy all part of the night out.
As the limos come without drivers, Charity and Caleb take on the roles of chauffeurs for the evening.
Sadly, everything goes wrong as the atmosphere in the girls’ limo turns chaotic once the booze flows, and a huge row breaks out between the boys.
Both vehicles are involved in separate accidents on the road, with one crashing onto a frozen lake. One of the groups faces a terrifying situation as the ice begins to melt, putting everyone in danger.
Meanwhile, a flashforward scene shows someone’s hand desperately pounding on the ice from the depths of the water.
