Some major EastEnders characters look set to return to the BBC soap in the coming months for a funeral – and fans are worried they may be
]set to lose a legend.
Actors Maddy Hill and Danny Hatchard appear to be reprising their roles as Nancy and Lee Carter as they attend a funeral, presumably for a
loved one.
Also in attendance at the funeral are Johnny Carter and Elaine Peacock (Charlie Suff and Harriet Thorped) – though there is no sign of Linda Carter actress Kellie Bright…
With Nancy wearing flamingo earrings in pictures published by The Sun – a staple of Linda’s wardrobe – fans are concerned that the beloved landlady may be set to die, with the family attending her funeral.
It can also be noted that Elaine is wearing pink accessories, while the white coffin has a pink rose on top.
Viewers will know that pink is Linda’s favourite colour, as well as her signature colour as part of The Six.
Also pictured at the funeral is Letitia Dean, who plays Linda’s best friend Sharon Watts.
It looks set to be a dramatic event, as one picture shows Nancy slapping grandmother Elaine, while Lee and Callum Highway (Tony Clay) escort a drunk Johnny away from the church.
While fans are understandably terrified that Linda may not make it to the new year, there are other explanations.
Of course, Mick Carter’s body still hasn’t been uncovered, so could the Carters be set to finally get answers after his disappearance at sea in 2022?
On top of this, EastEnders has previously set up location shots in order to throw viewers off the scent of what is really set to happen. Perhaps there won’t be a funeral at all!
Could viewers be set to welcome back Nancy and Lee, and say goodbye to Linda Carter? Or, is there more to the story?
EastEnders had no comment to make when approached by Metro.
