Coronation Street has revealed what happened to Debbie Webster in her ongoing dementia storyline.
In tonight’s hour-long episode, the soap cleared up the mystery of Debbie’s whereabouts after she revealed her diagnosis and drove off to clear her head.
Reaching out to her brother Kevin in new scenes, Debbie lied and made out she was at a hotel in Cheshire to splash some cash on spa treatments.
However, Debbie later rang Abi, came clean about where she was and asked her to pick her up from the police station.

Later on, Abi agreed to keep the secret with Kevin, but demanded to know what her sister-in-law did to end up in overnight custody.
In the car, Debbie took off her sunglasses, showing the signs of a rough night. She admitted she’d been drinking and was arrested for being drunk and disorderly… in a dessert shop.
Debbie conceded it was “stupid”, but opened up on her diagnosis being a “tough one to get your head round”.
She said: “I like to be in control. And when I’ve got no control over anything, it terrifies me.”

Abi reminded her that losing control was “a long way off yet” and that she should focus on spending time with her loved ones rather than landing in jail.
On their way back home, Abi encouraged Debbie to stop by the dessert parlour and apologise. She said sorry “through gritted teeth”, with the owner dropping the charges.
Reunited with Kevin, Debbie lied about having been at the spa and reassured him.
“There’ll come a time where you’ll do absolutely everything for me, but that’s not now,” she told him, as he realised he should give her some space.
“See? This is why I don’t tell him anything!” Debbie told Abi before heading out, giving her a knowing look.
