The Bold and the Beautiful has us primed to expect the worst when at last Finn confesses to Steffy that Luna is his daughter. And it’s understandable. Not only did the young woman murder Tom and Hollis in cold blood, but she also drugged Steffy and locked her in a cage to be killed when the building was demolished. Who wouldn’t freak out upon finding out that the psycho is their surprise stepdaughter?
We’ve even speculated that the twisted turn could spell the end of “Sinn.” But it isn’t necessarily going to do down that way. The show could instead cement Steffy and Finn’s status as an unbreakable couple — the anti-“Bridge” or “Tridge,” if you will — by having them pull together and use their heads as well as their hearts. Here’s how…
Obviously, Finn is going to want to forge a relationship with Luna, who we expect is somehow going to be set free despite her blood-stained rap sheet. (If Sheila is walking around something other than a prison yard, anything can happen.) Whereas Steffy made a deal-breaker of any contact between her husband and his biological mother, who shot damn near every member of her family, she will see that she can’t do that with Luna.
Rather, Steffy will insist that Luna undergo therapy with her mother, Taylor. Further, Steffy will remember that she is super [bleeping] rich and hire security guards to follow her and her kids around. Does she want to be monitored 24/7? Of course not. But she won’t have to worry about Luna going off the deep end again and absconding with Kelly and Hayes. Neither will Steffy have to fear surprise pop-ins from granny Sheila; the unwelcome mat will stay right where it is as far as she’s concerned.
In turn, Finn will marvel at how magnanimous his wife is and be eternally grateful. Not only does he get to spend his days with the love of his life, but she’s helped facilitate a relationship between him and Luna and given the young woman a second chance (whether or not she deserved it). What do you think, “Sinn” fans? Will the couple weather this obstacle like all the others they have overcome?
